Canonical has released the beta version of Ubuntu 26.10 (codenamed "Xenial Xerus 2"), featuring GNOME 48 desktop environment and numerous performance improvements.

- GNOME 48 with improved multitasking and performance
- Wayland as default display server with better NVIDIA support
- Updated software stack including GCC 14, Python 3.13, and Rust 1.75

How to Test
Users can download the beta from the official Ubuntu website. Testing and bug reports are welcome before the final release scheduled for July.
